The City of Clear Lake Shores was notified today by the Galveston County Health District that a Clear Lake Shores resident has tested positive for COVID-19. This makes the city’s second positive case of COVID-19.For confidentiality purposes, the Galveston County Health District is not releasing any additional identifying information, such as sex, age, mode of transmission or travel details.Galveston County Health District today reports 7 new positive COVID-19 cases in Galveston County residents. This brings the county’s case total to 548. There are 24 additional recoveries, bringing that total to 287.Today, the health district tested a total of 209 people (87 in League City and 122 in Texas City) through its free COVID-19 drive-thru testing sites. To date, 3,358 tests have been performed with 56 positive and 3,008 negative results reported back to the health district. All other results are currently pending.
