TS Beta Update - September 22, 2020

Some areas in Clear Lake Shores continue to see street flooding due to rain and high tides from TS Beta. Please, use caution when traveling around the island and avoid any areas with standing water.

Here is a list of high water streets. Please note this list may change throughout the day.

Aspen Rd
Pine, Oak and Narcissus near South Shore
East Shore and North Shore by Shell Bottom Park
Birch Rd near Clear Lake Rd.
Blue Point (north end)

Slow down, no wake

The City of Clear Lake Shores respectfully asks all motorists to avoid driving on areas experiencing street flooding. If you have to drive on flooded areas, please slow down as wakes affect businesses and homes.

Be alert for road hazards

Make sure you’re giving yourself plenty of time to complete your commute today. Visit http://traffic.houstontranstar.org/ or www.drivetexas.org to learn more about road conditions. Remember, never drive on flooded roads, if you encounter flood waters on a roadway turn around, don’t drown!

Residents are urged to closely monitor local media for forecast updates. The City will continue to provide weather updates, additional city preparations, and other changes to city services through our website and social media outlets.
