Galveston County, in coordination with the Local Health Authority, Dr. Phillip Keiser, developed guidelines for businesses and organizations to use as a reference for when the State of Texas allows businesses to reopen. The guidelines encourage each business and organization to use their best judgement and implement their own mitigation strategies and techniques as we move forward together. These guidelines are a minimum set of recommendations that businesses and organizations can use in developing their individual operational plans.

The City of Clear Lake Shores will continue to hold daily calls with the State fo Texas, Galveston County Health District and County Emergency Operations Personnel to ensure  the safety and health of our residents and avoid the spread of COVID-19.

On Monday, April 27, Gov. Greg Abbott plans to outline the next steps to reopen the state’s economy. At this time, the stay-at-home order remains in effect until April 30th unless continued or renewed by the State of Texas.
