Mayor Otten issued a mandatory evacuation order to ensure the safety of our residents.
Residents who choose to ignore the mandatory evacuation order, should be prepared to be self-sufficient after the storm. Electricity, water and phone service could be unavailable. Additionally, storm damage might prevent first responders from providing services if roads become impassable. The Clear Lake Shores Police Department will not be available once winds reach Tropical Storm strength of 45mph.
As a reminder, City Hall will remain closed on Wednesday and Thursday. Offices may reopen on Friday depending on the impacts of Hurricane Laura. If you didn’t get a chance to get your CLS vehicle sticker, you must provide an ID, driver license or utility bill upon reentry.
