No Injuries in Residential Fire in Clear Lake Shores

Clear Lake Shores, TX – Wednesday, February 24, 2021 - At 4:50 p.m. today, the Kemah Fire Department and the Clear Lake Shores Police Department responded to a call regarding a residential fire on Oak Rd, in Clear Lake Shores. 

Due to the heavy fire coming from multiple sides of the 3 1/2 story house, firefighters decided to make a defensive fire attack. All residents were reported to be out of the building upon Fire Department arrival and no injuries have been reported at this time.

More than 20 firefighters manning four (4) engines, two (2) ladder trucks, one (1) rehab unit, and one (1) ambulance responded to the scene. The Clear Lake Shores Police Department, League City Fire Department, Seabrook Fire Department, and Galveston County EMS assisted the Kemah Fire Department at the incident. The Seabrook Fire Marshal’s Office is currently assisting with the investigation.

The fire caused extensive damage to the home, including the two-story detached garage. The cause of fire is still under investigation.
