UPDATE: Face Masks and State COVID-19 Executive Order

Screen Shot 2021-03-09 at 2.23.45 PM

Per Governor Abbott’s Executive Order GA-34, effective Wednesday, March 10, 2021, all businesses of any type may open to 100% capacity. Additionally, this order ends the statewide mask mandate in Texas.

Under Governor’s order, businesses may still limit capacity or implement additional safety protocols at their own discretion. Many business owners will continue to enforce COVID-19 safety guidelines. We ask residents and visitors to respect the safety protocols of each business and wear a mask in places where it is required.

Beginning March 10, 2021, all city facilities will open at 100% capacity. The City of Clear Lake Shores will continue to encourage residents and visitors to wear face masks and practice social distancing while doing business at City Hall and other city facilities, including in-person council meetings at the Clear Lake Shores Club House.

The City of Clear Lake Shores is committed to keeping our employees, residents and visitors safe and minimizing risk. We all appreciate those who have stayed home, practiced good social distancing and more vigorous hygiene rituals.  The inconveniences of today will allow us to return to the “new” normal more quickly.
