CLS Council Members and Mayor Take Oath of Office

Clear Lake Shores, TX - Wednesday, May 5, 2021 - Yesterday, at our May 4th City Council meeting, incumbent Mayor Kurt Otten and newly elected Council Members Steve Wirtes and Monica Ledet were sworn into office.  

Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Greg Rikard administered the oath of office to the unopposed elected candidates, who will serve a two-year term effective May 2021 through May 2023.

Mayor Otten said, “It is an honor to continue to serve as Mayor of Clear Lake Shores and working with this council as we have an amazing group and great city.”

The City of Clear Lake Shores looks forward to continuing working with our Mayor and our newly elected city council members; they will proudly represent the priorities of our citizens while supporting our businesses.
