Residents and business owners may review the proposed ordinance changes to be presented to City Council for Chapters 38, 66 and 70 of City of Clear Lake Shores Code.

These proposed changes will affect permit procedures, drainage requirements for building lots within the residential and commercial districts, and other regulations to prevent flood damage. It also provides for professional engineer review for conformance to established code.

Revisions of current code were undertaken by the Roads and Drainage Committee after much input from residents, area builders and city staff. Several posted public meetings by the Roads & Drainage Committee, along with a workshop on June 10, 2021, a public hearing on June 15, 2021 and city council discussion on August 3, 2021, have been incorporated into these revisions.  The intent of the changes is to help improve drainage for the city and the process that it is achieved.

City Council will have these ordinance revisions on the September 7, 2021 agenda.
