Clear Lake Road bridge is closed due to flooding and a downed power line. There are reports of trees and power lines down throughout the city. Please stay away from anything touching downed power lines such as tree limbs, vehicles, puddles, or other items.

As soon as water subsides, the City of Clear Lake Shores will open the Clubhouse as a rest area for our residents who need water, ice and power. 

As of 7:00 a.m. Centerpoint Energy reported more than 415,000 customers without power. You can report and track electric power outages by using the CenterPoint Outage tracker at

Remember, never drive on flooded roads, if you encounter flood waters on a roadway turn around, don’t drown! For updates on road conditions, please visit or


The City of Clear Lake Shores respectfully asks all motorists to avoid driving on areas experiencing street flooding. If you have to drive on flooded areas, please slow down as wakes affect businesses and homes.  

The City of Clear Lake Shores will continue to provide weather updates, additional city preparations, and other changes to city services through our website, social media outlets and Emergency Notification System CLS CONNECT. If you need immediate assistance, please  contact the 24-hour Dispatch number at (281) 538-0659.


  • City facilities will be closed today and will resume normal operations on Wednesday September 15th. 
  • Tuesday trash pickup service will be delayed until 10:00 am. To prevent debris, please, do not leave your trash cans out tonight.
