Clear Lake Road bridge is closed due to flooding and a downed power line. There are reports of trees and power lines down throughout the city. Please stay away from anything touching downed power lines such as tree limbs, vehicles, puddles, or other items.
As soon as water subsides, the City of Clear Lake Shores will open the Clubhouse as a rest area for our residents who need water, ice and power.
As of 7:00 a.m. Centerpoint Energy reported more than 415,000 customers without power. The City of Clear Lake Shores respectfully asks all motorists to avoid driving on areas experiencing street flooding. If you have to drive on flooded areas, please slow down as wakes affect businesses and homes.
