Thank you EDC and City Council for supporting our local businesses impacted by Hurricane Nicholas!

Clear Lake Shores, TX - Friday, September 24, 2021 - Today, Soulfreak Studio Cafe, Skipper’s Cafe, Schafer’s Coastal Bar & Grille, and Okies Yardhouse received their emergency flood recovery program check. These grants will provide flood relief from damages caused by Hurricane Nicholas. 

The City of Clear Lake Shores and the Economic Development Corporation are excited to see our Town Center businesses open to the public and ready to offer a relaxing evening to our residents and visitors. Skipper’s Cafe plans to reopen within the next couple of weeks.

On Tuesday, September 21, 2021, City Council approved an EDC emergency flood recovery program. The Hurricane Nicholas Emergency Town Center Flood Recovery Program (the “Program”) is a joint relief program of the Clear Lake Shores Economic Development Corporation and the City of Clear Lake Shores to provide flood relief from damages caused by Hurricane Nicholas.
