Clear Lake Shores is on the Clear Lake Loop of the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail, which makes it a great place to spot different species of migrating birds.

Our city’s parks are a great place to go bird watching. You might be able to identify different species such as:

  • Osprey
  • Waxwings
  • Belted Kingfisher
  • American White Pelican
  • Northern Shoveler
  • American Pipit
  • and many other migrant birds!

Each location within the Clear Lake Loop offers something different. To learn more about the Clear Lake Loop and the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail, please visit: https://tpwd.texas.gov/huntwild/wildlife/wildlife-trails/utc/clear-lake-loop

The City of Clear Lake Shores is a bird sanctuary. Our residents are very respectful of our wildlife, making it a haven for native and migrating birds.
