Are you ready to grow in your career? Consider joining the City of Clear Lake Shores as the City’s first Communications Specialist in the City Administrator’s Office. The Communications Specialist supports the City’s operations and initiatives by developing and implementing innovative communications strategies for both internal and external audiences. They will also lead and coordinate special events, provide guidance on marketing and branding, and manage social media. All of these responsibilities are executed in a fast-paced environment in collaboration with colleagues and community stakeholders.
The ideal applicant will be a team player who demonstrates authenticity, creativity, and an outstanding work ethic. They will be eager to tackle both simple and challenging tasks with the same level of enthusiasm.

Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related field. This position is dependent on experience and is currently only slated to be 20-30 hours a week. The City offers an excellent, competitive benefits package.
